Warrior Spirit!

Hello Warriors!

I just received a note from Jake Erickson. He is the President of the Snow Canyon League for Youth Football USA for those that don't know him. He asked that I send out a letter to remind parents and fans of our commitment to be the class of the USA Football program.

We all know how passionate a football game can get, especially when it is our boys out on the field. Unfortunately, in the heat of the battle, that passion can turn ugly if we are not always conscious of our personal attitude, comments, volume and energy. We are not in control of the referees or their calls. And it is my experience that reminding them of their mistakes NEVER pays dividends in the way of waiving off a blown call. So let's cut them some slack. They are all really good guys, just doing their best for the love of the game.

We have been asked as a Coaching body to keep things positive on the sidelines, and to address any issues in the stands as well. I know that would be an uncomfortable distraction for me as a coach, so I am asking you all now to please, please bring your bells, cheers and encouragement to the game but please leave any negative "vibe" at home and we will do the same. ;-)

The great news is that the Snow Canyon 8th grade teams are in the playoffs and are in great shape and in control of our own destiny. We can be grateful for the success that we have had so far and hopefully be able to play to our potential throughout the rest of our games. I know from coaching these boys that they are all champions. Now let's show the rest of the league what I already know.

GO WARRIORS!!
